West Wind Events, SPC is a full-service event planning and fundraising company. We are “social purpose corporation.” As such, a portion of our annual revenue will be used to support two social and environmental causes described below;
Support education and a pathway to college for disadvantage youth
Promote the economic viability of agriculture to preserve open space and agriculture land under threat of urban development.
About Social Purpose Corporations
About Social Purpose Corporations. West Wind Music is a California Social Purpose Corporation (dba West Wind Events, SPC). In California and several other States, social purpose corporations may be established as for-profit corporations with a dual purpose of carrying out social or environmental causes more typically undertaken by non-profit organizations. This was needed for an event like Vineyard Jam Suisun Valley which required funding from private investors, beyond what a non-profit organization could provide.
Our 2025 Giving. Vineyard Jam Suisun Valley generated $24,000 for local non-profits and service clubs and $18,000 for Solano Community College from facility rental fees.
Corporate Philosophy
Establish Long Term Relationships. West Wind Events, SPC was founded with the corporate philosophy of creating sustainable relationships with corporate partners, contractors, and customers. We believe that the development of long-term relationships is critical to the future success of the company. Our desire is to conduct business in a way that is beneficial to all parties involved. This is so important because producing outstanding music festivals and special events requires doing business with the best artists, contractors and vendors in the industry. In addition, our corporate sponsors expect nothing less than excellence in all we do, as our success or failures are reflective of their businesses as well.
Our Pledge. The special event and music industry can be challenging, but applying the principles of common sense, flexibility and fairness will ultimately pay off by creating goodwill that opens doors to new opportunities. Simply put, we understand treating business partners or customers poorly is not conducive to long-term relationships. While no one person or company is perfect, our pledge is to do our best every day to be respectful and fair to all our customers, business partners, and sponsors. West Wind Events, SPC is committed to this pledge, and to carrying out our social purposes mission.
Supporting a Pathway to College
Supporting Education for Disadvantaged Youth. The first event planned by West Wind Events was Vineyard Jam Suisun Valley. This country music festival was envisioned to unite the local community behind a worthy cause called the “Pathway To College” program. The purpose is to support disadvantaged youth in our service area through after-school tutoring, mentoring, and counseling programs; after-school gang diversion activities including sports and the arts; as well as programs that support Foster Youth. Students from these programs will also be supported with scholarships at local Community Colleges.
Giving Back. A portion of annual company revenue will support Pathway To College programs. In 2025, local non-profits and services clubs received approximately $24,000 from Vineyard Jam operations and donations by Mr. Johnston. Solano Community College received an additional $18,000 from facility use fees from Vineyard Jam.
Promote the Economic Viability of Agriculture
Preserving Agriculture and Open Space. Another purpose of Vineyard Jam Suisun Valley was the help drive tourism and brand awareness for Suisun Valley. Suisun Valley is a beautiful fertile valley with abundant water that yields world class wine, produce and agricultural products. It is located halfway between San Francisco and Sacramento, just minutes from Interstates 80 and 680 and State Highway 12. However, Suisun Valley is under tremendous pressure from potential urban development, so supporting the long-term economic viability of agriculture and related industries is essential.
Assisting Non-Profits. Supporting non-profits that protect agricultural land and preserve open space is a core mission of West Wind Events. On focus is not only Suisun Valley, but other areas of the North Bay region, including Napa and Sonoma Counties.
